Demo Mode and connection check

Would you like to try the eSense app without having a sensor connected? That is what Demo Mode is for. And if you start a training session without a connected sensor, the app clearly points this out to you with a connection check since version 8.

Demo Mode

In Demo Mode, the app automatically plays back a stored sample measurement in a loop. A sensor that is actually connected is ignored. This way you can get to know the display of the measured values, the feedback channels and the user interface, even when no eSense is at hand.

You will find Demo Mode in the settings of the eSense app under “Backup” (cogwheel symbol → Demo Mode). Switch Demo Mode off again to measure with a real sensor.

Sensor connection check

When you start a training session without a sensor connected, the app now shows a clear message and points you to Demo Mode. This way you immediately recognise whether a sensor is connected, and you avoid accidental measurements without a signal.

For a real measurement, make sure your eSense is switched on or plugged in and connected via Bluetooth. Notes on preparation can be found in the respective sensor section under “Preparing and starting the app”.
